As some of you may or may not have seen, the latest negotiations update has been posted by the Company for the Association to review. Please keep in mind what I had mentioned in my previous update that these are short term objectives by the Company. In the long term there are no backfilling of our members when they retire, terminate, or pass away while the Company, in the end, will pocket over a 100 million a year off your backs through concessions under what they have put out there as their proposals. Today we are still waiting for this Company to respond to our proposals, and in no way did the Executive Committee or the Association agree to what this Company has put out there to all of you.

Although the Association put out an update today just to warn our members in what the Company is doing, there will be a response from our International Representatives very soon. In case some of you have not seen, Monday, International Vice Presidents Gary Peterson and Andre Sutton put out a YouTube video in response to the Company and Tuesday a podcast was released so that you will know the actual truth.  If you cannot gain access to either of these, please reach out to our Union Hall so we can help you, but rest assure there will be a direct response to what the Company has put out on Jetnet.

This week I attended the Air, Transit,  and Rail Division Presidents Council Meeting in Orlando Florida,  and I spoke with International President John Samuelson who mentioned to me that he had received my email invitation to the last State of the Airline Address in which he could not attend, and he told me personally that on the next State of the Airline Address that he would try to attend. I will provide the membership with another update next Friday, and should I get any more updates prior to that, I will share that information as well.
