  • In-Sourcing of Ground Handling

    Brothers and Sisters,

    American Airlines has announced their intent to insource ground handling work to the IAM represented employees at BDL, BWI, EWR, FLL, JAX, PBI, PDX, and the legacy AA mainline work in PIT. This work is currently being performed by vendors at those locations.

    The current legacy US Airways ground handling work in STL, SJU, and AUS will be insourced to TWU represented employees at those stations.

    The Company indicated that other stations are being evaluated to determine if any additional insourcing opportunities may be possible in the future.
