Your Local 513 Working Women’s Committee has recently dedicated a new bulletin board to "Our Members Serving Our Country" for pictures and updates. Contact has been made with Jim Harper, who is on tour in Iraq at the US Embassy. Update letters/photos have been posted for all to read about his endeavors. A list of our Local 513 Members on active duty will be posted as well. If there are any TWU Local 513 member that you have contact with, who are away serving, please feel free to post their messages on the board.
The WWC is also working on care packages to send to our military members. TWU duffle bags will be loaded up with TWU goodies and general items to be enjoyed by our troops.
The third and final project planned for 2008 is the "Sock and Toothbrush" drive for the homeless. At our next meeting, October 21, 2008, we will be decorating boxes with wrapping paper. These boxes will be stationed throughout the airport for those wishing to drop-off their donations. All Union Sisters and Brothers are welcome to join us at the Union Hall.
