    Obituary of Jesse Cortez

     

    Jesse Lee Cortez, of Rowlett, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2019. He was 53. Jesse was born on October 2, 1965 in Houston, Texas to Jesus and Guadalupe Cortez. He will always be remembered as a loving and jovial husband, father, grandfather, friend, and colleague.

    Jesse is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda; daughters, Angeleque Linville (Hunter) and Lea Robertson (Dylan); sons, Brandon and Tyler Cortez; brothers, Mike Rodriguez, Jr. (Amelia), Genaro Rodriguez, and Richard Cortez; sister, Geneva Villasana (Ralph); and grandchildren, Aiden, Ryder, and Autumn Robertson and Hadley and Callie Linville. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Cortez; mother, Guadalupe Reyna Cortez; brothers, Guadalupe and Richard Rodriguez; and sisters, Diane Garcia and Theresa Rodriguez.

    Jesse proudly worked for American Airlines for 35 years. He loved cooking, fishing, softball, golf, bowling, acting, movies and making people laugh. He was a loyal friend to many and a pure joy to be around.

    A visitation will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on May 16, 2019 from 1-3:30pm, with the funeral service following at 4pm in the Mausoleum.
